Birds of a Feather is an exciting American indie family music duo featuring two celebrated children’s music artists: Suzi Shelton, a Brooklyn-based pioneer in the genre, and Filipina-American Little Miss Ann from Chicago. Last year, they proudly released their first full-length collaborative children’s music album, Rock Together. Birds of a Feather have performed at venues across the country, including Battery City Park (NYC), The Cabot Theater (Boston), Levitt Pavilion (Westport, CT), Pickathon Fest (Portland), The Acorn (Three Oaks, MI), and The Jewish Museum (NYC). Suzi Shelton and Little Miss Ann are delighted to perform Summer on the Hudson, bringing a joyful summer concert packed with songs that will have everyone clapping, singing, and dancing!

Summer on the Hudson events are free and open to the public. Seating is limited, unreserved, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. If there is heavy rain at the time of the event, the event will be canceled. For weather updates, check nyc.gov/parks/soh 2 hours before the event.

Music, storytelling, and theater for young audiences up to age 7. Wear sunscreen. Stroller parking in a designated area is mandatory.

Lincoln Center’s free Storytime programming returns at Summer for the City—and, due to continued popular demand, we have scheduled two readings every Wednesday! Curated by The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts—which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year—Storytime events feature a children's book reading accompanied by live music, dance, or theater, engaging kids of all ages. Award-winning singer-songwriter Suzi Shelton and accomplished musician Christopher Johnson lead this exciting and interactive Storytime. Shelton, celebrated for her joyful music that connects with young children, teams up with Johnson, a versatile touring musician who has performed with prestigious ensembles like the Sphinx Virtuosi, New York City Ballet, and the New York Philharmonic. Together, they create a magical, fun-filled experience for kids and families, performing songs from Shelton’s beloved Cinnamon Bear coloring book.

Featuring special guests Esther Crow and Lavender Blues, this special kindie concert will share songs of love, acceptance, and joy for the LGBTQ+ community—during Pride and all year long!

Calling all of our smallest Brooklyn friends! Macaroni KID Brooklyn NW has teamed up with Time Out Market New York to present free family concerts for toddlers and babies featuring the one and only Suzi Shelton on Sunday, April 27th.

If you've never been to a Suzi Shelton concert, you are in for a treat! With over a decade of experience, Suzi creates music that is both uplifting and fun, encouraging little ones to sing, dance, and explore the world around them. Her songs are filled with playful melodies and positive messages such as "Spread More Love," and "Go Fire Truck Go," making her a beloved figure among families who seek heartwarming and interactive musical experiences. As a true happiness-maker, Suzi's performances are infused with charm and energy, leaving her young audience (and their grownups) smiling and inspired.
