About the Artists:
Lachi
Lachi is an award-winning recording artist, producer, and author, creating joyful music and stories that celebrate every way of being. Named a USA Today Woman of the Year, Lachi is also the founder of RAMPD.org, a global organization shaping disability inclusion in the music industry. Born legally blind, she brings her lived experience, big energy, and love of music to audiences of all ages. Her family album Magnificent celebrates neurodiversity, self-love, movement, and being wonderfully yourself. Author of award-winning book I Identify as Blind, Lachi believes music can help every child feel seen, heard, and magnificent.
Suzi Shelton
For over a decade, Suzi Shelton has been a beloved voice in independent family music and a cornerstone of the NYC kids’ music scene. A Park Slope favorite, she regularly fills playgrounds and venues like Old Stone House of Brooklyn, Brooklyn Public Library, and Jalopy Theatre. Her Wake Up & Dance series at Shapeshifter Lab has become a monthly hotspot for families with young children for the past three years. Suzi will be accompanied by NYC guitarist and producer Jeff Litman.
